  My letter of disassociation, what do you think?

  dear brothers, july 27, 2020. in 1919, the president of the watchtower society made a bold prediction, “millions now living will never die”.

  that quotation was constantly repeated by the organization till the year 2000 when they realized that everyone in attendance at that assembly, who listened to j.r. rutherford repeat those words, are dead.. that teaching has guided my life.

  statements were repeatedly made at assemblies, conventions and in print that there was no career in “this system of things” so you don’t need a job with benefits or retirement, your fulltime job is to “preach the good news”!

  I realize that there are consequences with disassociating oneself from the Organization, but I believe that this is the best path for me to explore now.

  I realize that disassociating oneself from the Watchtower Organization is a matter that you take seriously as do I. Regardless of that, if any sort of official decision regarding me or any announcement about me is made from the platform or any other way that could result in negative consequences to myself personally or to my family, legal action will be taken against the individual or individuals responsible.

  leonard warwick has been found guilty for a number of bombings committed during the 1980’s, including the family court bombing and the jehovah’s witnesses casula congregation kingdom hall bombing on 21 july 1985 which killed the public speaker, graham wykes, and injured 13 others.. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-07-23/leonard-warwick-family-court-bomber-found-guilty/12483286.

  side note: i have been closely following this story for 35 years now, including the past few years of supreme court hearings, much of which dealt with the jehovah’s witnesses kingdom hall bombing..

  Odd that this KH bombing even happened and the guest speaker was killed seeing as how we’ve all heard stories of how Jehovah often intervened to cause literature to be smuggled into countries where JWs are banned or JWs are directed by the Holy Spirit to call on someone at the door who was about to commit suicide.

  How do they explain this one away?

  Interesting That in the Regional Convention They Are Asking for More Volunteers to Bethel

  for those of us who could sit through the program so far, i did find it interesting that they are again asking for people to apply to bethel.. i happened to speak to a friend who called and asked him why they would do that.

  his response was that, well, they need younger people there.. i guess once you are over 50 or something you are eligible to be sent out to pasture..

  Younger Equals:

  Easier to manipulate because they are young enough that they haven't quite become used to thinking for themselves and or not taking orders/ instructions from older ones.

  No perspective on what is taking place today in the JW world as compared to what happened in the past.

  More adept to technology

  Less prone to health issues and Covid19 complications.

  Why not show your relatives this video and tell them that you are extremely troubled by how he lied under oath when he said it would be presumptuous for JW's to claim to be Gods one true channel of communication as well as the various other untruths that are pointed out in this video.

  As a kid I always wondered how Lazarus was able to get out of his tomb if his feet and head were bound. How did he see where he was going, how did he breathe and did he have to hop his way to the entrance, how was he able to get his hands and arms free?

  Seems to me a person who woke up from being dead would be quite traumatized to find himself in a dark cave bound from head to toe, unable to see where he was and struggling to breathe through the wrappings he was in.

  They’re always talking about joy and rejoicing and emphasizing how important it is. If they aren’t talking at length about rejoicing, they’re going on and on about endurance. Why do they have to try so hard?

  Don’t those things go hand in hand and occur naturally when one is doing something that is meaningful to them ? Why would anyone who is engaged in something they truly felt was worthwhile, need to be sat down and reminded or convinced on a regular basis, about keeping or increasing their joy or rejoicing?

  As far as endurance is concerned, everything JWs have to endure, is self inflicted.

  Update: We're starting to get photos on social media from JW relatives that show them along with their little kids lined up in front of the TV wearing their meeting clothes. I think this is a bit of "virtue signaling" so they can prove to one another how spiritually strong they are.

  I feel sorry for the little kids but at least they aren't having to sit in the sun on bleacher seats from 9AM to 9PM for 8 days in a row.

  like the ancient nation of israel which struggled maintaining divine blessing due to a long series of grave errors that eventually culminated in definitive loss... how and when did watch tower lose the spirit?.

  Do you think they'll get rid of the word "Whitewash".... it has racist connotations by indicating that covering over over wrongdoing is something that originates with white people.

  it is a challenge next sunday for them .

  due to starting the convention programme the wt study will be a 30 minute run through ,and deals with this prophecy ... i doubt the younger ones are familiar with it at all bur oldies could debate it at length .we on the look out for the king of the north to enter "the land of decoration" (more to follow,maybe next week).

  this article makes a grand claim in par 2.

  my mother became a witness right after i was born.

  1951. i was indoctrinated from that time forward for 50 yrs.

  during that time i did not hear anything about the 2 witness rule as applied to child molestation.
